Alison Hargreaves is the Founder and CEO of Guides for Brides, the UK's longest-running wedding planning platform, and one of the most respected voices in the UK wedding industry.
With more than 30 years of experience spanning wedding business ownership, publishing, digital marketing, consumer research and industry leadership, Alison has helped shape how couples discover, compare and book wedding venues and suppliers across the UK. Since founding Guides for Brides in 1995, she has grown the business into a trusted platform used by over 280,000 couples each year and featuring more than 31,000 wedding businesses nationwide.
Alongside leading Guides for Brides, Alison is the founder of the UK Wedding Association and has played an influential role in industry policy and advocacy, contributing data and insight to organisations including the Cabinet Office, Law Commission and Competition and Markets Authority. During the pandemic, she served as Vice Chair of the UK Weddings Taskforce, helping represent and support the sector through one of its most challenging periods.
